ABOUT THE ROLE

The Crystal Moon Lounge Restaurant Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Crystal Moon Lounge and Garden Restaurant, ensuring an exceptional guest experience that aligns with the luxury standards of the company. This role demands a hands-on approach, focusing on creating a warm, welcoming environment for guests while leading and motivating the team.

The Restaurant Director will uphold and promote the core values of the organization – heart, head, and hands – by being supportive, connected, refined, caring, genuine, positive, focused, creative, and entrepreneurial. They will manage the operational aspects of the restaurant, including service standards, staffing, budgeting, and guest relations, ensuring that every detail meets or exceeds guest expectations.

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience in managing restaurant operations, including staff training, guest relations, and financial management.
  • Strong background in delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.
  • Expertise in creating and implementing service standards, staff development, and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to manage and resolve guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction in a luxury environment.
  • Prior experience with budgeting, cost control, and maximizing profitability in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Proven ability to motivate, lead, and develop a diverse team, fostering a positive, supportive work environment.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations as they apply to a restaurant setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong desire to learn and develop a career within luxury hospitality
  • Good level of written and spoken English
  • Flexibility to work varied hours
  • Takes pride in own professional grooming
  • Ability and resilience to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Pride and attention to detail in your work
  • Confidence & professionalism when interacting with high profile guests
  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field (preferred).
  • Certification in Food Safety, Health and Safety, or equivalent industry-recognized qualifications (preferred).
  • Additional training or certifications in luxury service standards, such as LQA or Forbes, would be an asset.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
