Enviva is looking for a Processor that is responsible for all aspects of continuous operation of the plant including safety, equipment operation, monitoring, machine set up, and cleaning. The Processor – Mill Operator works from the engineering drawing to determine the best course of action with safety, accuracy, and quality at the forefront. Must be extremely detail oriented and able to read a measuring tape, calipers, angle finder and other equipment to ensure accuracy of work pieces.
Responsibilities
• Extensive knowledge of reading blueprints
• Ensures equipment is properly set up and maintained
• Loads material on mill
• Drills and taps, makes keyways, finds centers, and bores material
• Changes tooling in mill
• Operates forklift
• Operates jib crane
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of processed material
• Marks parts with piece number once processed
Other Job Responsibilities:
• Maintains a clean and save work environment
• Cleans and organizes common areas such as restroom and breakroom as needed
• Cross trains and participates in other job functions of the fabrication shop as needed
• May be asked to partake in any of the current shop positions at TPI at any time due to workload
Qualifications
- Complete understanding of operating equipment to include but not limited to forklifts
• 12 months experience in operating, loading, or unloading equipment
• Strong verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications - What Sets You Apart
- High school diploma or GED.
- Superior cognitive and systems knowledge to achieve production goals.
- Proficient in mathematics and measurement.
- Proficiency in maintaining the proper paperwork.
- Meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to visually detect damages and defects on tooling
• Ability to perform task such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping,
standing, and pushing/pulling for up to 12 hours a day
• Ability to push, pull and lift items up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
Working conditions
- Must be able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees
- Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
- Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment.
Physical requirements
- Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day
- Willing and able to work around moving equipment and machinery
- Willing and able to pull and lift, up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
