Overview
We are seeking a skilled Trumpf Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating press brake machinery to fabricate and assemble sheet metal components. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine the appropriate tooling and processes required.
- Set up tooling and adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
- Fabricate components by cutting, grinding, and assembling parts as needed.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Use hand tools and welding equipment as necessary for assembly tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in operating press brake machinery.
- Proficient in tooling setup and adjustment for various fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes, including grinding, assembling, and welding.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively in a manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
