About the Role
We’re searching for caring, energetic, and dependable individuals who love working with children. As a playworker, you’ll play a vital role in delivering a positive and enriching experience for every child.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading fun activities that inspire creativity, movement, and teamwork—indoors and outdoors.
- Supporting children’s learning through structured literacy and numeracy time.
- Preparing healthy snacks and promoting good eating habits.
- Building relationships with children, parents, and school staff to create a safe and trusting environment.
- Encouraging inclusive play and development, following recognised playwork principles.
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for working with children.
- A warm, enthusiastic approach and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Team spirit with clear, confident communication skills.
- Reliability, independence, and strong organisational skills.
- A willingness to complete training in safeguarding, first aid, and food hygiene.
Apprenticeship opportunities: for those looking to gain a recognised qualification while working. Whether you're interested in becoming a qualified Playworker or pursuing a career as a Teaching Assistant, you can earn while you learn in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Bonus if you also have:
- A Level 2 (or higher) qualification in childcare or a related subject.
- Previous experience in a childcare or play-based setting.
