PQA Wirral has been running for over 10 years on the Wirral, providing Performing Arts and Film & TV classes to students aged 4-18yrs, every Saturday from 945-1pm at Birkenhead High School Academy in Prenton.

We are looking for a brand-new Performing Arts Assistant, who will work with our students across their modules in Film & TV, Musical Theatre and Acting.

Our main academy classes see our students rotate around our three modules (above) in their age groups: 6-9, 10-12, and 13-18.

Responsibilities:

- Assist and support tutors in the delivery of fun, imaginative, appropriate activities for children aged 6-18yrs in their Film & TV, Musical Theatre, and Acting classes.

- Support members of the team in creating an environment for students to have fun, learn and grow.

- Encourage our students to express themselves through the classes being taught.

- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children within the class.

- Create a positive learning environment.

Skillset:

- 19 years of age or older

- Previous experience working with children & young people.

- Relevant experience related to the Performing Arts field.

- Passionate about Performing Arts and the impact it can have on children & young people.

- Strong imagination and communication skills, and the ability to engage and inspire.

- Capable of assisting in teaching short routines and vocals.

- Strong organisational skills.

- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the students within the class.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.

Pay:
£40 per academy session (9.45-1pm every Saturday)
