Parts Advisor – Drive Motor Retail (Hull)
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and driven Parts Advisor to join our team at Drive Motor Retail Hull.
About the role:
As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the Parts Department in the day-to-day operations. You’ll play a key role in supervising a small team, managing stock levels, processing orders efficiently, and ensuring excellent service is provided to both internal and external customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Navigating the smooth and profitable running of the department
- Supervising the team to ensure workload is evenly distributed and targets are achieved
- Managing stock levels and placing orders with suppliers
- Identifying and sourcing parts efficiently to support the workshop and retail customers
- Delivering a high standard of customer service at all times
- Supporting trade counter sales and processing parts enquiries via phone and email
- Maintaining accurate records and following internal systems and procedures
About you:
- Previous experience in a Parts Advisor or Parts Supervisor role (automotive industry essential)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to lead a team and delegate tasks effectively
- Good understanding of stock control and parts catalogues/systems
- IT literate, with experience using DMS and electronic parts ordering systems
- A proactive and customer-focused approach
