Job Overview:
We are looking to hire a Parts Advisor, who is responsible for advising all customers in purchasing parts and supplies. Through in-bound and out-bound telephone enquiries, walk in customers, and internet enquiries you will be developing customer relationships through providing good product knowledge and creating an effective first impression. You will be required to ensure all consumables and service parts are regularly replenished, providing a swift service to both trade and retail customers. You must have a sound knowledge of vehicle layout, parts catalogues and computer stock lists. If this sounds like a great fit for you, we would like to meet you!
Main duties include:
- Locating products on behalf of customers and providing a high level of advice on the stock we provide.
- Taking and recording orders through a computer system, in person or by telephone,
- Updating customer information in databases,
- Operating cash registers,
- Dealing with complaints and refunds in a patient and helpful manner,
- Maintaining a clean and orderly environment in the store,
- Being reliable and supportive to your customers in order to progress and develop sales,
- maintaining and expanding the local customer base.
Skills and experience:
- In-depth understanding of automotive parts
- Previous experience in an auto parts sales role (preferred),
- Accurate and methodical
- Basic IT Skills
- Team-oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service,
- Accurate and methodical
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills
- Teamwork and personal resilience
- Punctual, reliable and trustworthy,
- Willingness to assist customers and other team members,
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods,
- Have a polite and friendly manner.
