We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with strong proficiency in Xero to help us rebuild and re-enter our accounts for the financial year 2024/25 in Xero, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Following this, the successful candidate will take over the ongoing bookkeeping responsibilities for the 2025/26 financial year and beyond.
This is a hands-on role that requires precision, initiative, and a deep understanding of Xero and bookkeeping best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconstruct and re-enter all financial transactions for the 2024/25 financial year in Xero
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial data
- Ensure accurate categorisation of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities
- Liaise with accountants or auditors as needed to ensure compliance and completeness
- Maintain and update Xero records on an ongoing basis from 2025/26 onward
- Generate regular financial reports and summaries as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be based in the UK
- Must be able to complete the Xero 2024/25 task by mid September
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper
- Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadline
