Overview
We are seeking a talented Baker and Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating, with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of food safety practices.
This is a part-time, flexible role ideal for someone passionate about health-conscious baking and delivering high-quality, beautiful desserts.
If you have a strong foundation in pastry, an eye for presentation, and experience working with alternative ingredients (or a willingness to learn), we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Bake a range of gluten-free, sugar-free, and keto-friendly pastries
- Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications and seasonal themes.
- Prepare cake batters, and fillings while adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Stay updated on current trends in cake design and decoration techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience in baking, pastries and cake decorator
- Strong baking skills and cake decorating techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen environments.
- Familiarity with gluten-free, sugar-free, or low-carb baking (preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Attention to detail in taste, texture, and visual presentation
- Culinary or pastry qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Must be available 1–2 days per week (schedule varies by project)
