Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate pastry chef and Cake Maker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a particular focus on baking exquisite cakes. Duties
- Learn How to prepare our viennoisserie and laminate doughs
- Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Follow recipes accurately while also being able to create new cake designs and flavours.
- Manage the entire cake-making process from mixing ingredients to decorating finished products.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to throughout the baking process.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils used in cake preparation.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, reporting any shortages to management.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in baking techniques and knowledge of various cake decoration methods is essential.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in culinary environments is required.
- A background in food production or culinary arts will be advantageous for this role.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards is crucial.
