The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary/agency team, the post holder will manage a defined caseload, using evidence based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
To deliver comprehensive Speech and Language Therapy services to clients with a variety of communication difficulties and/or eating/drinking/swallowing difficulties. This service will be delivered in a variety of settings. The post holder is expected to develop relevant clinical skills, knowledge and experience without direct supervision.
Duties and location may vary depending on the client group/aspect and demands of the service/level of experience.

What we'll need you to bring
- Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent
- Registered Speech and Language Therapist with valid HCPC Registration.
- Practice education experience relevant to client group/aspect of service.
- Knowledge and application of theory underpinning Speech and Language Therapy practice.
- Knowledge of and adherence to national and local clinical guidelines.
- Post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative.
- Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
- Car driver with a full valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence

Member of RCSLT
After 2 years’ post-registration Completion NHS Flying Start Programme and RCSLT NQP Framework
Experience of working with children and young people with speech, language & communication difficulties
Demonstrates knowledge of assessment and intervention / treatment in a manner that is consistent with evidence-based practice.
