Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Directors and Associate Directors, work within the New Sites Team in following up enquiries and leading the research and assessment of new sites through in-depth web based research. Reporting to the Office Manager, Associate Directors and the Directors.
Key areas of Responsibility
New Sites
- Issuing quotes and contracts to clients
- Taking initial enquiries and following up potential new client enquiries, taking the relevant details
- Issuing contracts for desk top assessment and fast track responses, taking payment
- Arranging for PNC’s to be passed to directors, associate directors and other senior staff members for assessment
- Conducting casework for potential new cases through in depth web-based research, the acquisition of information from clients, councils and other parties in a timely manner to meet internal and contracted response deadlines.
- Issuing the completed desk top appraisals
- Taking dictated notes after fast tracks
- Passing on requests for site visits to the Receptionist PA to arrange
- Taking dictated notes following a site visit
- Issuing quotations to clients for signature and payment, following up and re-issuing quotes as required
- Keeping records of potential new sites, site visits offered and quotations issued
- Carrying out specific tasks, when directed to do so by an Associate Director or Director
- Drafting of Desktop Appraisals for review.
- Assisting clients with queries related to Desktop Appraisals
General office duties
- Maintaining records including job filing and electronic records
- Answering telephone calls and taking messages if other members of staff are unavailable
- Assist the general running and administration of the practice by carrying out administrative and support tasks as requested by the directors and associate directors.
- Assisting with the arrangement and organization of site visits in the absence of the PA/Receptionist.
Qualifications:
Essential
- Degree in a related subject
Required Knowledge:
Essential:
- Demonstrate an aptitude for MS office
- Good on-line research skills
Desirable
- Good map reading ability
- Knowledge of the planning system

Additional details:
The post is full time based at our offices at Upton Magna. There may be some out of hours working with time off in lieu.
Working hours are 9.00 to 5.30 with a one hour unpaid lunch break.
