Outreach Tutor/Mentor – Codsall/Wolverhampton

What We’re Looking For:
Qualified teaching professionals with one of the following:
- QTS or PGCE
- PTLLS, CTLLS or DTLLS
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET)
- Level 3 TA or HLTA certification
You’ll have experience working with young people, ideally in one-to-one or small group settings, and a confident, adaptable approach to supporting varied learning needs.
What You’ll Do:
As an Outreach Tutor/Mentor, you’ll:
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions in Maths, English and other core subjects
- Support learners with SEND, those in care, or pupils not currently in mainstream education
- Adapt your teaching style to suit the learner’s pace, mood, and ability
- Build positive relationships that foster trust, confidence, and progress
- Deliver sessions either in person (home, school, or local venue) or occasionally online, depending on the pupil’s needs
Session Details:
- Sessions take place during school hours (08:30–16:30), Monday to Friday
- Locations are arranged in advance and designed to be local to you whenever possible
- You’ll receive full briefings on each learner before you begin
- Flexible scheduling to fit around your other commitments
Pay & Benefits:
- Hourly rate: £26–£34, depending on the assignment
- Travel time over 30 minutes compensated with a higher rate
- Paid weekly, with no need to register as self-employed (though you can if preferred)
