Working between: 07:00 to 09:00 then between 14:30 to 18:00 daily.
Starting Date: June 2024
Contractual Hours: 20 hours per week.
Wage: Exceeds NMW
Would be desirable that the applicant have previous experience working within a childcare setting and within a team, have good communication skills, creative thinking and be practical. We are looking for someone who is honest, motivated, outgoing, reliable, punctual and enjoys craft activity and being out in all weathers.
Duties: We are based within Forehill Primary School, Bridge of Don. Day to day care of school aged children, escorts to and from local schools (Middleton Park & Glashieburn Primary) on foot, provide the children with activities, snack, overseeing, setting up/clearing away play areas/activities, some daily paperwork, quality assurance and any other duties as required per the Job Description.
Qualification – If not currently held, within a specific timeframe, the applicant must be willing to undertake & work towards a qualification recognised by Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Qualified applicants should be registered or eligible to register as a Support Worker with the SSSC. A commitment to ongoing training and development, personal as well as the settings is also required.
This post is regulated work with children & is subject to the provisions of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must be, or become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
All checks are carried out by Disclosure Scotland and all applicants will be asked to disclose information about any offences committed and / or convictions held or other circumstances that could prevent them from working with children.
