Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in our care home, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of those they care for.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and mobility.
- Support individuals in following their care plans to meet their specific needs.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions.
- Implement care plans effectively while respecting the dignity and privacy of residents.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety protocols..
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, such as Nourish and Emar systems.
- Cleaning of communal areas and some laundry duties.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
- A commitment to providing high-quality care with empathy and respect.
- Willingness to undertake any necessary training or qualifications.
- NVQ 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is essential.
- Level 2 in Safe Handling of Medications is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
