There are five brands in their portfolio, each delivering memorable holidays for their loyal customers: Grand UK Holidays, SunriseDirect, Palmer Holidays, Glenton Holidays and justforgroups! Each year their tour operating businesses organise holidays for thousands of people, creating happy and memorable holidays. Although they lead in the UK domestic market, they are also a key player in escorted air holidays, holidays by rail, no fly ocean cruises and European river cruises. Operating to multiple destinations worldwide, they employ talented and experienced team members who love holidays almost as much as their customers! From a local perspective, you will be based in the Norwich office and will be part of an enthusiastic Sales and Marketing team, with a wider office headcount of around 30 people. They also have offices based in Glasgow and Yorkshire.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our team. This multifaceted role offers a fantastic opportunity to further develop your skills across a range of marketing activities. You will assist in managing marketing campaigns, ensuring data accuracy, creating compelling designs, and enhancing our brand presence through various channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Mail Marketing: • Collate tenders from print suppliers for direct mail marketing campaigns. • Working alongside the Product Team, coordinate the design and distribution of direct mail campaigns, including mailers and brochures. • Collate amends/feedback and share with designers, proofing revisions for changes made and obtaining sign off according to print deadlines. • Liaise with mailing houses for datasets, data verification and proofing of live artwork. • Provide a brief to the reservations team of upcoming direct mail marketing activity, creating source codes for tracking. • Track the effectiveness of campaigns and report on results. SEO and Digital Presence: • Research and implement SEO best practices to improve website rankings. Optimise content and campaigns for search engines to drive organic traffic. Data Management: • Regular data cleansing and management of our customer database in line with GDPR regulations, for both digital and printed media. • Creation of datasets and associated cleansing for direct mailings Email Marketing: • Assist in creating, testing, and sending targeted email campaigns. • Monitor campaign performance and suggest improvements. Creative Design: • Design adverts and window cards that align with brand guidelines. • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality visuals for all campaigns. The UK Travel Club: • Manage and promote The UK Travel Club, engaging members and fostering growth. • Develop content and coordinate activities to enhance the club's value. General Marketing Support: • Create and process purchase orders for marketing activities. • Generate reports to track campaign success and identify opportunities. • Source imagery and maintain a library of high-quality visuals in accordance with licensing requirements.
Requirements:
- Passion for travel • Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail. • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Canva) is a plus. • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp) preferred. • Basic knowledge of SEO principles and digital marketing preferred. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. • A proactive and creative mindset with a willingness to learn.
Hours:
Full time. Days: Monday-Friday. 37.5 hours per week. Salary based on age and experience.
