Integr8 Dance is the fastest growing dance company in the South, offering high-quality, inclusive dance and performance opportunities to children, young people, and communities. Our holiday camps provide a safe, engaging, and exciting space for children aged 4 to 16 to explore dance, drama, crafts, and more. Designed to support both wellbeing and creativity through the school holidays.
As a Holiday Camp Assistant or Lead, you’ll be part of a dynamic and supportive team delivering high energy activities and ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all children in your care. You’ll work with children aged 4–11 (primary camps) or 11–16 (teen camps), using a structured programme of activities while bringing your own creative flair to sessions.
As a key point of contact for the children in your care, you’ll help create a welcoming and inclusive environment, while ensuring their wellbeing and safety throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and support inclusive sessions in dance, drama, games, and themed crafts
- Use session plans and resources to guide structured, engaging activities
- Provide a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, ensuring each child feels safe, seen, and included
- Be a group leader or assistant, offering pastoral care and positive behaviour support
- Ensure full compliance with all Integr8 safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management policies
- Contribute to a caring, enthusiastic, and creative camp environment
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, children, and parents/carers
- Uphold Integr8 Dance’s values of inclusion, creativity, fun and community
- Supervision of children outside of activity times i.e. snack / lunch breaks.
- Maintain and organise equipment and contribute to general camp cleanliness
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children in a school, club, or camp setting
- Confidence leading or assisting structured group activities
- Current enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, proactive attitude
- A friendly, energetic, and caring personality with a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Qualified in or working toward a relevantdance, performing arts, teaching, sport or childcare qualification
- Paediatric First Aid or First Aid at Work certified
- Safeguarding training
- Experience working with children with SEND or additional needs
- Experience delivering or assisting with creative workshops, PE sessions, or performing arts programmes
