We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our family business to ensure the smooth running of our operations as we expand and develop.
We are a small friendly team with an amazing customer base at the heart of our business.
Logistics experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided. The role is varied servicing the sports turf and vine care industries. This is a permanent, part time position working 20 hours - Monday to Friday 9:00am to 1:00pm. Candidates would ideally live within a 30-minute radius of our offices at Barker Business Park, Melmerby, near Ripon HG4 5NL.
Salary: £14 per hour commensurate with experience.
Key Skills
- High proficiency computer skills including Microsoft office.
- Experience with Xero would be beneficial but not essential.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Working in our small team and also independently with a pro-active approach.
- High customer service commitment to maintain our exceptional sales & follow-up procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Order processing, acknowledgments and delivery confirmation with customer.
- Processing shipping documentation from Freight Forwarders, export & import.
- Requesting shipping / haulage quotes.
- Working closely with the MD for sales / products / customer enquiries.
- Monitoring stock levels and ensuring records are accurate.
- Checking inbound haulage invoices are correct.
- Monitoring customer account balances.
- Any other duties deemed necessary.
