Live in Carer – Leamington Spa
We are looking for a female Live-in Carer to support someone attending Leamington College and living away from home for the first time.
She is an 18yo with Cerebral Palsy, she is a power chair user and is hoisted for transfers. She is intelligent, chatty, sociable and fun-loving.
The college will provide full time support staff while she is studying in college, so your daytimes will be relatively clear.
You will be staying on campus in your own en-suite room next door to the customer.
LOTS OF FREETIME DURING THE DAY
We require an experienced, competent driver who will be able to drive her home to Rutland for weekends, or whenever needed, in her wheelchair accessible van (manual). You will then spend the weekends in the family home with her and return with her to Leamington for Monday morning classes.
This is a term time role but will include a two week induction period starting on the 18th August. The role will then follow college dates ie one week off in October, two at Christmas, one in February, two at Easter, one in May and then finish around the end of June.
