Full time

Liberty Private Care are looking for a LIVE IN CARER for a client in the Bournemouth/Poole area. The pay rate is £875/week.. You will work two weeks on, two weeks off

We are NOT an introduction agency, we are a domiciliary care company, regulated by CQC and we employ our staff, taking care of paying your tax and national insurance, we contribute to your pension scheme and we pay holiday pay, which is accrued from day 1.

About The Role

You will be fully supported by our management team and an on call service, so that someone will always be available to give you advice if something happens that you’re not sure how to deal with. A supervisor will visit regularly to support you. Training is given prior to starting the Live In which you would be paid for.

The hours worked are usually 8am - 9pm plus you will get a 2 hour break during the day. Meals are either taken with the client or an additional allowance given to buy your own food.

During your time living with our client, you will help them with personal care, administer medication, accompany them to the shops or events in the community, make them meal & drinks, do household chores and, most importantly, keep them company, including engaging with them in activities that they are interested in to enrich their life.

Our client likes music and watching travel and animal programmes on TV, people watching at the park and having a coffee out.

To provide the calibre of staff that we want to for our private client, we are looking for experienced carers with a minimum of 2 years experience in a CQC regulated service (hospital, nursing home, domiciliary care company). You need to be an affable, flexible person, with a ‘can do’ attitude and a caring nature. You also need to be a car driver with your own car so that you can take our client on trips out. A knowledge of dementia and experience of caring for clients with dementia is essential.

In return, Liberty Private Care rewards you with highly competitive pay, accrued holiday pay from day 1, employers pension contribution, training courses, including enhanced training to better equip you with your job and enabling you to progress in the complexity of clients that you can attend, thereby increasing your earning capacity.

About The Company

Liberty Private Care was founded by husband and wife team, Andrew and Fiona Key in 2019 when Fiona was unable to find the standard of care that she wanted for her own mother. Together, Fiona and Andrew have more than 75 years nursing and care experience and have worked in the NHS, for care agencies, residential care and nursing homes, and also run a successful homecare company in north-west England.

At Liberty Private Care we provide care that bridges the gap between traditional home care and nursing by giving our carers enhanced training above the norm, including RESTORE2 so that they can take observations for their clients if there are any concerns about them. We’ve also proactively worked with local and national bodies to improve care standards through innovation and training.

Andrew worked closely with organisations to help create and define the ‘Six Steps End of Life Accreditation’ for community care and Liberty Private Care earned this accreditation from the Countess Mountbatten Hospice in Southampton. We are one of the top 20 home care providers.

Company Culture

Liberty Private Care has always been managed by people with hands-on experience in the social and healthcare sector. All the carers have a minimum of 2 years previous care experience before they start working for Liberty Private Care and nearly all the carers have an NVQ 2 or higher.

Alongside the quality of carers that we provide, our management team also provide a concierge service, going the extra mile in helping our clients and their families with things. This is particularly useful where family members don’t live locally or where families are time poor.

Liberty Private Care stand out from the crowd in the quality of staff and the service we provide.

We pride ourselves on giving our team the knowledge and training to develop new skills to achieve qualifications. In exchange, we offer the most competitive rates in the region, plus pension and recruitment bonuses.

The majority of our training is led by our registered nurse at our premises in Christchurch, where we have dedicated, modern training facilities.
