Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety in various settings, including assisted living facilities, homes, and hospice care environments. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at promoting independence and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
- Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Implement behaviour management techniques as needed for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as hospice care, dementia care, or childcare is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various settings.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
