Job Title: Lecturer
Location: Barrow-In-Furness
Salary: £43,509 – £46,702 depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
Delivering engaging teaching and training on advanced manufacturing programmes, aligned with Apprenticeship standards and BAE Systems’ learning delivery models
Contributing to the planning, monitoring and evaluation of the curriculum, promoting a positive and meaningful learning culture
Preparing and marking assessments, providing clear and constructive feedback to ensure the rapid progress of apprentices’ skills and knowledge
Conducting apprentice performance reviews, setting high-quality targets to support continuous development of skills, knowledge and behaviours
Producing accurate, timely reports and data on apprentice progress, including proactive monitoring and analysis
Supporting apprentice interviews, enrolment, induction, open days and enrichment activities
Developing inclusive blended learning approaches, making use of digital platforms to enhance curriculum delivery
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
A recognised teaching or assessor qualification
Experience in teaching, lecturing, or assessing, preferably in a vocational, apprenticeship, or work-based learning environment
An interest in developing knowledge of engineering disciplines, with training and support provided
Desirable
Experience of developing blended learning resources and delivering via a Virtual Learning Environment
Experience supporting apprentices or learners within technical or engineering programmes

The Early Careers Team:
You will be a qualified teacher, lecturer or assessor with a passion for learning and delivering engineering programmes. Training in engineering will be provided, enabling you to confidently deliver engaging and relevant lessons across a range of disciplines.
You will bring an imaginative approach to teaching, designing innovative lessons that inspire apprentices, colleagues and stakeholders alike to achieve the world-class standards expected at BAE Systems. Working as part of a large and supportive team, you will be based partly at Furness College, contributing to an environment where apprentices are encouraged to make exceptional progress in their skills, knowledge and behaviours.
