Working as a Lead Tech Club Instructor, you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering engaging, technology-based lessons to primary school students aged 5-12.
What You'll Be Doing
- Classroom Leadership: Confidently leading a group of children and ensuring a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment. Strong classroom and behavioural management skills are essential.
- Facilitating Lessons: Using provided lesson plans and pre-recorded videos to guide children through tech-based activities—no prior coding experience is required.
- Inspiring Students: Bringing energy and enthusiasm to foster a love of technology and learning.
- Monitoring Progress: Supporting students in their learning journey by observing their engagement and understanding.
- Collaborating with a Team: Being part of a supportive and diverse team committed to delivering quality education.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for individuals with strong classroom and behavioural management skills who can confidently command a classroom and engage children in a group setting. You don’t need prior coding experience—our lesson plans and resources provide everything you’ll need.
Ideal candidates may have backgrounds such as:
- Youth workers
- Sports coaches
- Drama or performance instructors
- Experienced nannies or babysitters
- Camp counselors
- Teaching assistants
- Individuals passionate about working with children
If you’ve worked with children aged 5-12 and have experience in managing groups, you’re exactly who we’re looking for!
Role Details
- Starting Period: Autumn Term, 8th September
- Work hours: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
- Salary: Competitive rates of £20 - £25 per hour (depending on experience).
- Location: Various primary schools within Ealing (UB5)
- Additional Opportunities: You’ll also have the chance to work at our exciting school holiday camps during school breaks for extra income and experience.
What You'll Need
- Current Enhanced DBS (Required)
- Confidence and experience working with children aged 5-12.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for inspiring and motivating young learners.
- The right to work in the UK (self-employed).
