• Laundry Operative Staff

Location

• Primarily in Nuneaton
• Occasionally in Coventry

Job responsibilities

• Sorting, washing, drying, pressing and folding clothing, towels, sheets and other textile items
• Loading and unloading van with laundry cages
• Delivery of linen to clients and collection of dirty linen
• Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures
• Keep an updated inventory of laundry detergents and textiles
• Check and monitor all laundry equipment and report any maintenance required to the Operations Manager
• Ensure that the facility laundry equipment remains clean at all times
• Ensure that the facility remains organised at all times
• Ultimately, you will play a crucial role in the presentation of the establishment by ensuring all textiles are well cared for and maintained.

Requirements and skills

• Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to move and manuover heavy cages of linen & laundry
• Outstanding organisational and time management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be some what flexible on working hours with possible occasional week-end work
• Must be able to work alone, or as part of team
• Prefreble to hold a driver's licence, and in possession of a vehicle for commuting

Working hours

• Relatively flexible working hours
• Part-time to start with, but hours may increase as the company acquires more jobs
• We require flexibility on the part of applicants, as we may have busier or quieter days

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
