We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team for a weekend position.
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our establishment. This position is essential in ensuring that all laundry services meet the high standards expected in a hospitality environment. Previous hotel experience is preferred, as it will enhance your understanding of our operations and customer expectations.
Duties
As a Laundry Attendant, your responsibilities will include:
- Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and garments according to established procedures
- Operating laundry machinery safely and efficiently
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the laundry area
- Inspecting items for stains or damage before processing
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management
- Adhering to health and safety regulations while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Collaborating with team members to ensure timely service delivery
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining high standards
