Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards for our residents. This position is essential in maintaining the overall cleanliness and comfort of our establishment.
Duties
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items according to established procedures.
- Inspect all items for stains or damage and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is kept in good working order.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and garments to various departments.
Requirements
- Previous laundry experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina, as the role requires standing for long periods and lifting heavy loads.
