Team East Devon – more than just a job
At East Devon, we’re proud to do things differently. Our Housing Service is made up of skilled professionals from diverse backgrounds who bring energy and expertise to their roles every day. We’re united by one goal: delivering for our residents.
As a Housing Repairs Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting our housing repairs service in providing administrative support including updating systems, researching and gathering data and drafting reports, letters and general correspondence, alongside that you will be dealing with requests from tenants and contractors via phone and email. Maintaining accurate records and clear audit trails acts as a conduit for accurate information and excellent communication across our Property & Asset service and you will be pivotal in doing that.
About you
Passionate and motivated with a helpful and friendly ‘can do’ attitude, you’ll possess excellent administration, communication and interpersonal skills and be highly organised. Attention to detail is essential, along with a willingness to go the extra mile for our customers. You’ll be able to work on your own initiative and support the rest of the team where necessary. The nature of the role is pressurised so resilience and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
About us
Our recent Local Government Association Peer Challenge highlighted that ‘EDDC is a great place to work, with engaged staff and members’ and that’s certainly true! You will be part of a Gold Investors in People (IiP) organisation which works together with local people to create great value services and an outstanding community, economy and environment in which people want to live, work, visit and enjoy now, and for future generations. And with our wide range of health and wellbeing benefits, our highly flexible and collaborative hybrid Worksmart working arrangements as well as our commitment to continuous learning and development, you can be confident of joining a dedicated community of colleagues who are Happy, Healthy and Here.
