Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Holiday Club Assistant to support our team in providing exceptional care and educational experiences for children during teh Summer school holidays. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and the ability to manage various tasks effectively while fostering a nurturing environment. This role requires strong communication skills in English and the ability to engage with children in a meaningful way.
This is a temporary role during Summer School Holidays.
Duties
- Assist in the daily operations of the holiday club, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children.
- Manage classroom activities, including planning and implementing educational programmes that promote learning through play.
- Drive children to various activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and daily activities.
- Provide leadership support to other staff members, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the holiday club setting, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Engage with children in activities that promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with managing groups of children in a nursery or educational setting is an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire both children and colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- A genuine passion for working with children and contributing positively to their development.
Hours & Location
Monday 21st July 2025 - Thursday 24th July
Monday 28th July - Thursday 31st July
Monday 4th August - Thursday 7th August
Monday 11th August - Thursday 14th August
9.00am - 2.00pm each day
Two different locations in Kidderminster - you will be asked to move between the sites
