We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Holiday Activities and Food Club team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and creating a fun and inclusive environment. The role involves leading sports, arts and crafts, and other recreational activities while supporting the delivery of nutritious meals in line with the programme.
SCHEME LOCATION: Hayes & Harlington Community Centre, Albert Rd, Hayes UB3 4HR

- Weekdays 10:00am - 2:30pm
Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage children in a range of activities, including arts and crafts, multi-sports, and group games.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, following safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of healthy meals and snacks.
- Encourage positive behaviour and inclusion among all participants.
- Set up and pack away equipment and resources for activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other staff members, including answering calls from stakeholders such as parents, caterer.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Registration keeping of attendees
- Report any incidents, concerns, or issues to the Head Office.
Person Specification: Essential:
- Experience working with children in a play, sports, or educational setting.
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and able to engage children in fun activities.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to different situations.
Desirable:
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of the HAF programme and its objectives.
- Experience working with children with additional needs.
