Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to residents in the care home setting This role requires effective communication skills, a commitment to delivering high-quality care, and the ability to follow care plans meticulously. The Healthcare Assistant will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of our clients while ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support clients in following their individual care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with basic IT tasks related to patient documentation and communication when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or care home settings is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to care plans accurately.
- A caring and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes are advantageous.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as required by the needs of the service.
