Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a care home or home care setting, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the well-being of our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively, while also being proficient in IT to maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients in daily activities, including meal preparation and medication management.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of care.
- Follow individual care plans tailored to each client’s needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately using IT systems.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients when needed.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment is essential for success in this role.
