About the Role
We are seeking a skilled General Builder to join our mobile property services team. This is a hands-on, practical role where your primary responsibility will be delivering a range of general building and repair works across our supported housing schemes.

Key Responsibilities
Primary Duties – General Building:
- Carry out building repairs including brickwork, plastering, rendering, flooring, tiling, and basic roofing
- Complete minor structural work such as internal wall adjustments, repairs, and stud wall installation
- Deliver refurbishment work in void properties (e.g. wall repairs, flooring, finishes)
- Undertake general carpentry tasks such as fitting skirting, doors, frames, or basic joinery
- Support with small-scale project works across EHSL’s property portfolio
Secondary Duties – Handyman & Maintenance (when building work is not required):
- General property maintenance including painting, decorating, minor repairs
- Support with grounds upkeep, jet washing, and pest control as needed
- Carry out basic compliance checks and assist with remedial actions
- Communal cleaning or void preparation where required
- Assist with emergency repairs and health and safety reporting
Work Style
This is a mobile role — you’ll begin and end your day from home, travelling to different sites using EHSL’s scheduling and task systems. You’ll work independently, supported remotely by our property and housing teams.
