Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Self-Employed Handyman to join our expanding network. You’ll be working on a range of residential and commercial properties across London and surrounding areas, handling general repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks. This is a flexible subcontractor position ideal for someone experienced and able to manage their own workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general maintenance and repair work (e.g. patching, resealing, changing locks, curtain poles/blinds, etc.)
- Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical fixes
- Assemble furniture and fit shelves or fixtures
- Painting, decorating, and filling holes/cracks as needed
- Complete snagging and handyman tasks following refurbishments or end of tenancy
- Communicate clearly with clients and the operations team regarding job status and updates
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
Requirements:
- Proven handyman experience in a similar role (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Own tools and transport essential
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexible with working hours and locations
Desirable:
- Multi-trade skills including painting/decorating, basic plumbing or electrical
- Experience working in residential tenancies or property management
