Key Responsibilities of a Forest School & Outdoor activity lead:
- Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement Forest School sessions, aligning with the school's curriculum and individual needs of children.
- Site Management:Maintain the Forest School area, ensuring its suitability and safety for all learners.
- Risk Assessment:Prepare and update risk assessments for all activities, equipment, and the site, ensuring the safety of participants.
- Resource Management:Oversee the use and maintenance of Forest School tools and equipment.
- Communication:Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, parents, and other stakeholders about the Forest School program.
- Continuous Improvement:Evaluate the program and make adjustments to improve its effectiveness and impact.
- Staff Management:Support and manage any support staff or volunteers involved in the Forest School program.
- Professional Development:Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adherence to Policies:Ensure compliance with all relevant school policies and procedures.
