Kinderview Glossop Forest School Practitioner
Salary in the range of £28,000 - £30,000c pro-rata 24 ¾ hours per week depending on experience, qualifications and skills.
Kinderview Nursery Glossop are looking for a Forest School Lead Teacher or Assistant to plan and deliver exciting, innovate and engaging forest school sessions for 3 to 4 year olds.
We are looking for someone who would like to work part time, Monday - Wednesday. A typical day would be 8 1/4 hours. The post would be a job share with the current post holder who will work Thursday & Friday.
The nursery has a fantastic natural outdoor environment from which our forest school is run. The children in preschool all take part in forest school sessions as part of their nursery day. Sessions are run in the morning and afternoon all year round. The forest school activities compliment the preschool curriculum and there are opportunities to work with our preschool teacher to ensure all learning needs are met.

Person Specification for Early Years Practitioner
Experience:
- Knowledge of current and relevant guidelines and legislation
- Knowledge and understanding of child development
- Ability to work creatively to meet the needs of the children
- Ability to plan an activity programme to stimulate learning and development, based on observation
- Ability to work effectively as a member of the staff team
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and other professionals
- Commitment to working in an anti-discriminatory way to ensure equality of opportunity
- Policy implementation in respect of safeguarding, health and hygiene, child protection and special educational needs requirement
Qualifications or Training:
Required
- Forest School training Level 2 or Level 3
- Paediatric First Aid Trained
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in Early Years or equivalent
Practical Skills:
- Good written and excellent oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- A good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Able to interact effectively with parent/carers
- Good organisational skills
