Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm (30 hours per week)

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Food Counter Assistant to join our team at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new food counter launch, serving students and staff during the busy lunchtime period.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve customers in a professional and friendly manner, providing excellent front of house service
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation at the food counter
- Ensure compliance with food safety management systems and keep accurate training records
- Manage stock, assist with deliveries, and support daily operations
- Proactively promote and upsell products to maximise sales and commission
- Drive where required for supply runs and logistics support
Requirements
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential)
- Allergen Training Certificate (essential)
- Experience with Food Safety Management Systems and record keeping
- Prior experience in front of house sales and customer service
- Must hold a valid driving licence
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
