Summary
We are seeking a Field Supervisor to join our team at Celtic Care Services Ltd. In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing the delivery of care services, ensuring that our clients receive the highest standard of support. This position is crucial for maintaining our reputation as a leading domiciliary care provider.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular spot checks, supervisions, and field observations to ensure care quality and compliance with policies
- Perform initial assessments for new clients and contribute to person-centred care planning
- Complete risk assessments, care reviews, and updates to care documentation
- Monitor and support staff performance and conduct, including probation reviews
- Provide coaching, shadowing, and on-the-job training to new and existing care staff
- Respond to service user concerns or incidents with professionalism and empathy
- Participate in and lead team meetings and handovers
- Ensure all care plans, MAR charts, and visit records are completed and audited regularly
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and social workers to ensure continuity of care
- Support emergency cover and rota management during staff shortages or urgent situations
- Participate in the on-call rota, offering support and guidance outside of office hours
- Assist with CQC compliance, preparing reports and contributing to inspections
- Uphold and model Celtic Care’s values, policies, and safeguarding practices at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the social or domiciliary care sector.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and staff.
- Knowledge of creating and implementing care plans is essential.
- IT proficiency for managing documentation and reporting tasks.
- A valid driving license is preferred for travel between client locations.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in senior care settings.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
