Family Fee Earner Required for our Newcastle (and some days if desired) Sunderland Office Full or Part Time

We seek a further fee earner to join our award winning Family and Private Client Team based at mainly our Gosforth office, but also at our Sunderland Office if this is more convenient for the candidate.
We are looking for a candidate who is seeking career development and enhancement. This position has excellent long-term career prospects for the right person. You will work in a team which is spread across two offIces. We can offer you training and supervision if necessary.
We can offer you good quality work, many of our clients are business owners, professionals and investors. We do not undertake legal aid work and therefore you will be free of the Legal Aid Agency. We do not ask fee earners to fill in six minute units, we prefer to look at billing.

We are members of Resolution and are Lexcel Accredited. Jacqueline Emmerson director is a trained Collaborative Lawyer. We are flexible as to start and finish times on a daily basis, this may be advantageous to those with family commitments. Please note that this is an office-based position rather than remote working. However, if you are a full time fee earner we can be flexible about this part of the week.
Responsibilities
- Manage family law cases from inception to resolution, ensuring effective communication with clients throughout the process.
- Conduct thorough research and prepare legal documents, including petitions, bundles and court orders.
- Organize case files and maintain accurate records, utilising IT systems for efficient case management.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external parties to gather necessary information and support clients' needs.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to provide informed legal advice.
- Attendance at court conducting own litigation at interim hearings.

Qualifications
- A degree in Law or a Law Conversion Course or Cilex
- Rights of audience in Family Law Courts
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues
- Proficient in IT applications relevant to family law practice
- Excellent organizational skills to manage case files and documentation
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, adaptable to full or part-time schedules
- Experience in family law including managing your own caseload is essential

Pay: £28,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
