Teaching Fellow in Law

We are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Fellow to join the Law School for a 12-month period, starting in September 2025, to cover the buyout of a colleague’s time through a research grant. We are looking for a candidate who is willing and able to teach Equity and Trusts and the Law of Tort. Furthermore, a demonstrated ability and interest in teaching skills-based modules and/or a module on the English Legal System would be an advantage. The post is an excellent opportunity for an individual at the start of their academic career to develop teaching skills and associated skills of administration and student support in a collegiate and supportive environment. We welcome applicants nearing the completion of their PhDs as well as applicants who have a background in legal practice.

Lincoln Law School is a medium-sized law school with a commitment to offering students a diverse legal education, with a strong focus on the development of professional and employability skills. As a Teaching Fellow, you will join Lincoln Law School at an exciting time. We are in the process of implementing a new undergraduate curriculum, with refreshed academic content and a greater focus on skills and employability, which will be rolled out in the 2025/26 Academic Year.

In the role, you will contribute to our undergraduate teaching in Equity and Trusts, Law of Tort, and other modules depending on your skills and expertise, by developing and delivering engaging and innovative lectures, seminars, and tutorials. You will also participate in setting and marking assessments, as well as providing support and guidance to students. You will be supported by a friendly and collegiate School and will be offered teaching guidance and mentorship.
