Factory Operative - Backshift

Here at Ecoglass Ltd, we are looking for a Factory Operative to work on our backshift on the production line .

Key responsibilities will include;

• Cut to size aluminium and plastic spacer bars using the automatic snip saw
• Assembly of spacer bars
• Fill bar on the automated desiccant filling machine
• Glass washer infeed
• Spacer bar butyling
• Frame setting
• Automatic sealing robot

We are looking for someone with the following competencies;

• Glass handling experience desirable
• First Aid Certificate desirable or willing to complete training.
• A self-starter by nature with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work independently
• Remain calm under pressure
• Physically demanding role
• Confident in the handling of glass

Working hours; 40 hours per week,

Monday - Thursday 5.00pm -2.30am Fri 4.00pm -8.00pm, hours may alter slightly.

You would be training for the first 2-3 weeks on the day shift working Mon -Fri 7am -4pm. Then move onto the backshift, working the hours set out above.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21 per hour
