About the role
Are you a natural organiser, enjoying coordinating projects to a high standard, and collaborating effectively across teams? Are you a skilled administrator with a keen eye for detail? If so, you could join our Public and Community Engagement team as the Engagement Coordinator (Administration and Internal Communications), to support a growing culture of societal engagement at Imperial College London. Join us at this exciting time as we establish our new Centre for Societal Engagement at Imperial.
The Engagement Coordinator is central to ensuring our activities are delivered smoothly, building awareness of societal engagement at Imperial, and coordinating key initiatives. Our team deliver staff and student training, seed funding, awards and guidance to enable societal engagement at Imperial. This post is responsible for the organisation, logistics and internal communications which underpin our programmes and are fundamental to their success.
What you would be doing
Join our friendly and busy team in this central role, key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating internal communications to our staff and students about societal engagement, including our monthly newsletter.
- Arranging bookings, logistics and communications for our extensive training programme.
- Coordinating our societal engagement seed fund and annual awards scheme, sharing papers and organising panel meetings.
- Maintaining records, monitoring data and supporting evaluation of our activities.

The Public and Community Engagement team sit within the Societal Engagement Division of Imperial and support staff and students across the university to engage the public with their work and research. We deliver events, festivals, school holiday programmes and activities for adults, young people, community groups, families and more. To support our colleagues to develop engagement skills, we run training, seed funds, awards and networks.
