Department Profile
The Corporate Communications team facilitates Morgan Stanley's communications with media audiences and with employees. For the Firm as a whole and also for individual business units, it brings experience and consistency to our relationship with the press and our dialogue with employees. Its goal is to promote Morgan Stanley's strengths and to build and maintain the Firm's reputation.

Primary Responsibilities
We are looking for a corporate communications professional to join Morgan Stanley's EMEA media relations team, based in London. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Media Relations for Sales & Trading and Investment Management in EMEA (and co-report to the Head of Media Relations for the Investment Banking Division in EMEA) and will primarily focus on managing media relations for our Research division, as well as other areas including technology and community affairs. The role will:

- Deliver a communications strategy for Research and as well as other areas of the Firm
- Assist with the organization of press interviews, relationship lunches/meetings, roundtable briefing sessions, press seminars, television interviews and other media events in the UK
- Distribute daily research reports
- Compile and maintain media lists for press release and research distribution, press invitations, etc.
- Liaise with the Firm's PR consultants across EMEA when organizing media events in their markets
- Organise media training
- Maintenance of surveys and forward features database
- Distribution of weekly corporate communications highlights
- Coordinate updates and activity reports for senior management
- Work closely with marketing colleagues to ensure PR and marketing strategies are aligned Qualifications
Skills:
- Previous media relations experience, the ideal candidate should have experience in a similar role either within an organisation or at an agency
- Strong communications skills, both oral and written
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage their own workload, set priorities and multi-task
- Ability to work in a methodical and disciplined manner, paying close attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and also the pressure of adversarial media situations in a consistently professional manner
- An interest in the financial services industry, preferably with experience in investment banking
- European languages, particularly German, French, Italian or Spanish, are very helpful
- Experience with social media, video and digital content production in a corporate environment is helpful
- Degree educated or equivalent
