Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Coach Driver with a PCV license to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while ensuring a high level of customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive the bus along designated routes, ensuring timely arrival at each stop.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing support as needed.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding any delays or issues that may arise during transit.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any passenger inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bus interior.
- Document any incidents or accidents as required by company policy.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with appropriate endorsements for operating a bus.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with passengers and team members.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
