The General Wine & Liquor Company is an independent, family-owned wine and spirits merchant with a passion for exceptional products and outstanding customer service. We are looking for a Customer Support Executive to join our Head Office team in Liphook.
This role is central to our business – you’ll be the first point of contact for customer enquiries and inbound queries, supporting our trade sales team to deliver an excellent customer experience from order through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first line of support for customer enquiries via phone and email.
- Support the sales team with order processing, stock checks, and proactive customer communication.
- Ensure all customers receive exceptional service, with a friendly and professional approach at all times.
- Handle queries efficiently and proactively resolve issues.
- Contribute to improving processes and customer experience across the business.
About You
- Previous experience in a customer service or sales support role (ideally within retail, hospitality, or FMCG).
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer care.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A “can-do” attitude with flexibility to support different areas of the trade sales function.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with MS Office, experience with order management or CRM systems is a plus.
