What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be a key part of our finance operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Posting and allocating client receipts daily
- Managing the company’s credit control inbox
- Sending copy invoices and statements to clients
- Reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy
- Proactively chasing overdue debt
- Maintaining accurate client account diaries and chasing records
- Identifying bad debts and overpayments, escalating as needed
- Liaising with the billings team to resolve invoice discrepancies
- Credit checking and setting up new customer accounts
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients and internal teams
- Attending weekly debtors meetings to update on risks and aged debt items
- Supporting the annual audit process with external auditors
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- At least 2 years’ experience in credit control
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and numeracy skills
- High attention to detail
- Team player with a proactive approach
Desirable:
- Experience with Xero software (training provided if needed)
