Job Summary
We are seeking a Control Room Operator to join our Team within the CCTV Monitoring Centre in Crowborough. Whilst we would love candidates to have previous experience, if you have the right skills and an interest in working in the security sector full training will be given. We will consider full and/or part time for the right candidates.
Job Description:
Working as part of a team, you will work a shift based system which could include weekends/nights/days/evenings depending on the individual.
You will:
- Operate the CCTV equipment providing pro-active and reactive monitoring of CCTV cameras, to assist with the detection and reduction in crime on customer premises
- Act as a point of contact for Onwatch customers who are experiencing security breaches and issues
- Maintain a close liaison with police personnel and CCTV partners in relation to any incidents, including making outbound phone calls to security services/customers and accepting incoming call
- Where incidents occur, create Incident Reports, which includes contacts made and actions taken
- Use company database systems to gather, monitor, record and communicate information to appropriate police personnel
The successful candidate will:
- Preferably already hold a SIA licence for CCTV. However, full training will be given prior to applying for the licence if you do not hold an SIA licence.
- Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car for all shifts. Our control room is not serviced by public transport so a car is essential
- Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be confident using a telephone to speak to customers and external bodies including the police
- Be a team player who is flexible to meet business needs - willing to help out colleagues to ensure customer expectations are met
- Have some experience of working with customers (preferable)
- Have some experience of and/or be confident about using computers (preferable)
- Have 2 years' control room experience (preferable) but not essential as full training will be given

- Annual leave allowance of equivalent to 28 days (including bank holidays) for full time hours, rising after 2 years service up to a maximum equivalent of 33 days after 5 years' service (full time hours)
