About the Role:
Nottingham Forest Football Club are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Control Room Operator with a strong multitasking skillset to oversee and manage critical systems during our matchday operations. This pivotal role requires developing a strong understanding of our systems and processes to ensure the smooth running of our matchday events. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the wider team to identify and resolve issues promptly, while maintaining clear and effective communication.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage various systems and processes from a central control room.
- Identify and respond to any irregularities or issues that arise.
- Operate the match day radio system
- Coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide clear and concise reports on incidents.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of control room procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of system performance and incidents.
- Respond to emergency situations and coordinate with emergency response teams.
- Conduct training sessions for new control room staff.
- Ensure all matchday activities are documented and reported.
- Ensure all control room equipment is functioning correctly.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies.
- Any other reasonable requests as directed by management.
What are we looking for:
- Previous experience in a control room or similar environment.
- Are confident in speaking over a radio system and have a good working knowledge of the phonetic alphabet.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple systems simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Desirable criteria for the Role:
- Strong understanding of the systems being monitored.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies.
- Proficiency in using control room software and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety and operational procedures.
