We're looking for a passionate and energetic Conference & Banqueting Supervisor to take the lead on delivering weddings and events at the hotel. You'll be involved in final details meetings with the Bride & Groom and our wedding co-ordinator, plan the staffing and set up for the big day and lead service with the F&B team. You'll play a big part in ideas to evolve our service going forward and on liaising with our events booking team to continually improve all aspects of our guests experience.

When you're not busy focused on weddings you'll be involved in the day to day delivery of meetings and events with key corporate and leisure clients.
Duties
- Lead by example with accountability, ensuring all conference and banqueting events are delivered to the highest standard, in line with client requirements and company policies.
- Supervise, motivate, and support the team to provide outstanding service, creating a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Demonstrate empathy with guests and colleagues, handling requests and challenges with professionalism, understanding, and care.
- Oversee event set-up and breakdown efficiently, ensuring rooms are prepared to specification and in a timely manner.
- Monitor service quality and operational standards, taking ownership of resolving issues quickly and effectively.
- Foster teamwork across departments by maintaining clear communication with kitchen, events, and front-of-house teams.
- Manage stock, equipment, and resources responsibly, ensuring availability and minimizing waste.
- Support training and development of team members, encouraging continuous improvement in skills, service delivery, and performance.
- Contribute ideas for service enhancements, actively seeking feedback from guests and colleagues to drive excellence.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Experience
- Previous supervisory experience in conference, banqueting, or hospitality operations, with proven ability to lead shifts and teams.
- Strong background in delivering high-quality events and functions, from set-up through to service and close-down.
- Experience in managing and motivating diverse teams, fostering collaboration and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to show empathy and professionalism when dealing with guests and colleagues, resolving issues effectively and diplomatically.
- Track record of taking accountability for operational standards, service quality, and guest satisfaction.
- Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring staff, supporting continuous development of individuals and teams.
- Familiarity with health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations in hospitality or events settings.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and confidently with clients, colleagues, and senior management.
- Experience in resource management, including stock control, equipment care, and efficient use of staff scheduling.
- A background of seeking and implementing improvements in service delivery, guest experience, or operational processes.
