Mermaids is an independent coffee shop & roastery based on the picturesque banks of the River Hamble, Hampshire. We small batch hand roast our own coffee and bake our own cakes and treats, as well as offering a small range of grab-and-go savoury food.
With two waterside locations – Premier Universal Marina and Warsash Village Quay – we’re a favourite stop along the Swanwick to Warsash coastal footpath. Now, we’re looking for a new team member to join our kitchen, working alongside our talented Head Chef/Baker.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Baking our much-loved cakes, muffins, scones and cookies, plus helping to develop new recipes.
- Preparing our simple-but-delicious savoury grab-and-go range.
- Serving our small range of hot food, such toasties and bacon baguettes
- Keeping our kitchen sparkling clean, helping with washing up and ensuring it's running smoothly.
- Helping manage stock and maintain high food hygiene standards.
Who We’re Looking For
You might be:
- Starting out in your catering career, a recent graduate from a cookery course, or a confident home baker ready to go pro.
- Passionate about baking from scratch and cooking fresh, tasty food.
- A detail-focused multitasker who can work independently.
- Flexible, reliable, and happy to roll up your sleeves.
