About the role:
The Claims Handler is responsible for managing day-to-day claims processing, ensuring efficient and accurate resolution of vehicle claims. This role involves gathering information, coordinating with repair vendors, and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders. The Claims Handler works collaboratively with the claims team to provide excellent service while adhering to company standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and handle routine claims efficiently, ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulations.
- Gather and verify all required documentation from customers, vendors, and third parties.
- Liaise with body shops and repair vendors to coordinate vehicle repairs and ensure timely updates.
- Communicate with customers to provide updates on claim progress and address their queries.
- Maintain accurate records of claims and ensure all data is logged correctly in the system.
- Identify and escalate potential fraud or high-complexity claims to the Senior Claims Handler.
- Assist in assessing liability and ensure claims are resolved promptly.
- Collaborate with the team to meet service-level agreements and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Support administrative tasks such as invoice validation and authorising minor repair costs within defined limits.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in claims handling, customer service, or administrative roles.
- Automotive or insurance industry experience is a plus.
- Strong decision-making abilities for assessing situations and determining appropriate actions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in planning, prioritising tasks, and organising workflows to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly and professionally.
- A valid UK Driver’s License.
